SOLDIERS & SIRENS

Soldiers & Sirens is a not for profit charity supporting current and ex-serving Military, First Responders including AFP, the ONLY charity supporting Prison Officers in WA.

We are so passionate about offering a safe community for all our members and their families who come from all the services, to be able to come together, be there for after each other and feel the acceptance, sometimes without saying a word. We may just want to be with others that understand our way of life and the unique challenges and experiences that come with that, and in some cases, its just knowing that there is someone out there that understands, and that is so comforting.

We currently provide an independent and confidential Mental Health referral service, as well as referral and collaboration with other Ex Service Organisations to bring our members the best possible services, which is always being evaluated. We offer peer support by those whom have lived experience, and provide targeted education specific to our multi-uniform community, whist supporting Veteran businesses . We are proud to support meaningful events and sporting activities organised by our own members throughout the year, who choose to give back to our organisation and offer fundraising opportunities, which encourages our entire community to come together.

We also offer regular events specific to our group including a weekly NOR Coffee Catchup at Spinifex North Beach on Wednesdays which also supports a Veteran owned company, and fortnightly on Fridays is our SOR Coffee Catchup up at OSSO in Rockingham. Annual Veteran run events on our calendar include the WA Services Cup powerlifting competition at Port Kennedy RSL, and our Soldiers & Sirens Shield ice hockey event on Remembrance Day at Cockburn Ice Arena, with both catering to First Responders, Prison Officers, and Defence teams. We are constantly adding more and more engagements to our calendar to offer our members variety and choice, and with funding we would love to add so much more.

We have an excellent, passionate, well-rounded Board of Directors including a Psychiatrist, a Psychologist, with the majority of the Board including our Board Chair having served herself in the services, or are family of ex and serving members. We also find ourselves lucky to have some fabulous volunteers that enjoy giving back to our wonderful community.

Our current membership is $50 for a year, which includes a choice of our very own Soldiers & Sirens Tshirt, a members only private FB group, and member only discounts and events.
