Sherry Baxter's career trajectory is a testament to her dedication to public service and community welfare. Currently serving as the Senior Liaison Officer at Working Spirit Ltd, she has been at the forefront of advocating for veterans employment in Perth.

Her role has been pivotal in guiding not just Veterans but their family as well. This includes spouses/partners, their sons and daughters (aged 15+) of veterans towards sustainable employment, identifying career opportunities that align with their skills, interests, and capacities, and overcoming barriers to ensure they are job-ready.

Sherry is also passionate to support Emergency Services Personnel looking to transition to civilian employment having served as a NT Police Officer.

Prior to her role at Working Spirit Ltd, Sherry was an influential Employment Consultant at RSLWA. Here, she took on the vital role of Case Navigator for Veterans Employment, further cementing her commitment to supporting veterans and their families in their post-service careers.

Prior to these roles, Sherry’s career spanned various significant positions. She was an
Employment Broker at Workskil Australia, where she facilitated employment opportunities for diverse groups. Her empathy and dedication were further showcased in her role as a
Family Violence Case Worker at the Department of Justice and as a Senior Community Corrections Officer. In these roles, she worked extensively in the Kimberley Region, managing case files and aiding communities.

Sherry’s work with the Ngaanyatjarra Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Women's Council as a Family Violence Worker and her tenure as a Police Officer with the Northern Territory Police Force highlight her lifelong dedication to serving diverse communities and addressing critical social issues.
