Working Spirit is launching Stand Up. Step Up. Employ., a campaign inviting the community to support employment and skills pathways for veterans, Defence families and emergency services personnel transitioning into meaningful civilian careers.
Running until the end of April, the campaign focuses on turning support into practical outcomes by helping members of the service community build the skills, confidence and connections they need to take the next step in their careers.
For many veterans and emergency services personnel, transitioning into civilian employment can mean translating years of experience, leadership and capability into a very different workplace environment. Defence family members can also face employment challenges as a result of postings, relocations and the demands of service life.
Through Stand Up. Step Up. Employ., contributions will support three key areas:
$250 – Skills Development Support
Helping candidates strengthen the skills and capabilities needed for civilian employment.
$500 – Career Readiness Support
Supporting candidates as they prepare to enter or re-enter the workforce.
$2,500 – Employment Pathway
Supporting the broader employment journey and connection between candidates and employers.
Alongside the campaign, Working Spirit continues to work directly with candidates and employers through the Transition Employment Portal (TEP), creating connections and supporting employment pathways for veterans, Defence families and emergency services personnel.
