AHS Technician – Mining Technology and Communications
Our client seeking AHS Technicians to support a range of Perth-based and FIFO
projects across Western Australia.
We welcome applications from motivated
individuals transitioning from the Australian Defence Force with technical
backgrounds. These roles form a critical part of our project delivery and long-term
site teams, working at the forefront of autonomous mining technology, with structured
training and support provided. No previous mining experience is required.
We welcome applications from professionals with backgrounds including:
Auto Electricians
Mechanics
Communications Technicians
Electronics/Electrical
Any other relevant Trade Qualification
Location: FIFO to Pilbara from Perth (Metro roles are also available)
Roster: Project dependent – including 8:6/7:7 (days and/or nights), 5:2 (metro only)
and ad-hoc project rosters (roster continuously changes but this role has maximum
exposure to every site and all technology solutions).
The Role
As an AHS Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, support and
maintenance of autonomous and mining technology systems across a variety of
client sites. You will work closely with customers, engineers and project teams to
deliver safe, high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Provide onsite operational and technical support to ensure smooth project
execution
Install and commission mining technology and communications solutions from
multiple vendors for Tier 1 mining clients
Support long-term projects as part of embedded site teams
Complete accurate and detailed installation documentation
Provide technical input to assist engineering teams with the design of custom
mounting and integration solutions
Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory and site-specific requirements.

What’s Required
Experience with Heavy or Light Mobile Equipment (advantageous)
Communications/networking/electronics experience (advantageous)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Relevant trade qualification

Australian Police Clearance
