Our client is currently recruiting for entry-level Driller’s Offsider positions and is seeking candidates with a proven background in physically demanding work. For those who have worked in industries such as concreting, farming, plumbing, construction, or other labour-intensive trades, are highly encouraged to apply.
There is also strong demand for experienced Drillers. These positions do require specific industry experience and technical skills and, as such, may not be suitable for all veterans transitioning for the first time from military service.
The mandatory requirements for each applicant are as follows:
- Full ‘C’ class manual licence (our underground client/s may accept good candidates who hold their P2 licence as long as they are within the last 6-12 months of their P2 conditions).
- Australian or NZ citizenship or Australian permanent residency (our clients will not accept applicants on a visa).
- Clean National Police Clearance from within the last 3 months.
- Able to pass a Pre-Employment Medical assessment and LABDAS.
- Must be physically fit and able to meet the physical demands of the role including lifting 25-40kg, 12-hour shifts and extreme weather conditions (35+ degrees during the day and very cold nights).
Please note that some medical, age and weight restrictions may vary and this is entirely at the discretion of the client or mine-site.
