Role:
Consult with Supervisors and Managers daily to stay up to date on all Project Priorities
• Conduct Prestart each morning to all trades personal for the days work
• At all times, do all that is reasonably practicable to ensure your own safety, and the safety of people around
you.
• Lead the delivery of multiple mechanical fitting tasks on Multiple Projects to ensure conformance to client
requirements and specifications
• Conduct high risk tasks within scope of High-Risk Work Licence
• Organise site permits for tasks you are responsible for
• Conduct mechanical fitting trade tasks relevant to your qualifications and experience
• Compile test & survey certificates
• Actively support the Supervisors in the management of, and completion of Task Packs, inclusive of
Inspection and Test Plans (ITP’s) and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS)
• Maintain and report consumables stores levels to the Mechanical Supervisor
• Assist in the training of apprentices and junior tradespeople
• Inform Project Staff when ITPs do not adequately reflect the identified task requirements
• Inform Project Staff when ITPs and SWMS do not adequately capture the necessary safety assessments and
associated mitigations
• Identify mandatory task requirements through critical review of Work Instructions, Repair Specifications
and Repair Plans
• Adhere to, and actively manage the Allship Engineering daily work routine
• Assist in task planning & scheduling
• Deliver site safety briefs
• Take charge of up to 10 employees assigned to the tasks you are responsible for
• Provide regular updates to supervisors on the status of job packs you are responsible for
• Inform supervisors of resource shortages required to complete delegated tasks
• Report WHS issues encountered onsite
• Assist in WHS consultation by providing feedback through pre-start meetings, toolbox talks and safety
stand-downs
• Comply with Client and Site requirements as detailed in Client Inductions, Site Inductions and as directed by Client Safety Officers
• Advise Supervisors of any conflict with clients and Allship employees
• Actively and positively participate in site inspections, audits, and reviews conducted by Companies HSEQ
Department, client HSEQ Departments, and third-party accreditation bodies
• Contribute to maintaining a functional Marine Maintenance Workshop.

Higher Duties and Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of multiple mechanical fitting tasks on one site to ensure conformance to client
requirements and specifications
• Assist in the development, management, and completion of Task Packs, inclusive of ITP and SWMS
• Assist in compiling reports required for OQE submissions
• Manage procurement of site resources.

Qualifications
Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (MEM30205) or higher
• Construction white card
• C class driver’s licence
• RIIWHS204E – Work safely at heights (WAH) – desirable
• RIIWHS202E – Enter and work in confined spaces (CS) – desirable
• TLILIC0005 – Licence to operate a boom-type elevating work (EWP) – desirable
• TLILIC0003 – Licence to Operate a forklift truck (LF) – desirable
• High Risk Work Licence.
