We have an exciting role for a Senior Technical Officer. The Senior Technical Officer is responsible for the output of technical advice and services within the area of compliance and delegation. This role does have specific accountabilities with the following:
• Minimum 10 years’ experience with command and control or weapon systems (combat systems) fitted to warships
• Minimum 10 years’ experience maintaining warships fitted combat systems;
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in supervision of relevant shipboard combat systems maintenance teams;
• Minimum 10 years’ experience demonstrated experience in engineering installation / maintenance / repair practices within a quality framework (required to gain level 4 engineering delegation).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in management of maintenance within a quality framework for relevant shipboard systems;
• Extensive experience and familiarity with the ANZAC Class Ships is requirement.
Educational Qualifications:
• Tertiary qualifications in a field of electronics, electrical or system engineering to at least Diploma level or equivalent on the job experience and related technical training.
