Document Control & Administration – Bull Creek, Perth
Our cliient has an opportunity that we believe could be a great fit for veterans with Defence administration, records management, information management, operations, logistics, governance or project support experience. You do not necessarily need to have worked with the exact CDMS system to be suitable for this role. We are particularly interested in veterans. families of veterans and emergency responders who have experience working with structured Defence systems and or emergency services systems and or civlian systems who can process and demonstrate strong attention to detail, accuracy and an understanding of controlled information.
Why you Defence Experience could be relevant if you are a veteran.
Throughout your Defence career, you may have worked with systems such as Objective, SharePoint or other Defence information and records management systems. You may also have experience managing controlled documents, maintaining records, following approval processes, working with policies and procedures, or ensuring teams are using the correct and current information.
These skills are highly transferable to this position.
For example, your Defence experience may include:
- Managing and maintaining controlled documents and records
- Working with Objective, SharePoint or other digital information management systems
- Managing document versions and amendments
- Following formal approval and governance processes
- Registering, filing, classifying and retrieving information
- Conducting quality checks and ensuring documentation is accurate
- Working with templates, reports, procedures and official correspondence
- Maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- Working within strict policies, procedures and compliance requirements
- Supporting colleagues and answering questions about processes or systems
- Identifying issues and escalating them through the appropriate chain of command
- Using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
- Working in an environment where information needs to be properly managed, accessible and accountable
The terminology and system may be different from what you have used in Defence, but the underlying skills are very similar.
This is a great opportunity for a veteran who wants to utilise their Defence experience in a civilian environment and gain further experience in document control, information management and administration.

This three-month opportunity could be a great fit for an emergency responder veteran looking to use their existing skills in a different environment while gaining valuable experience in document control, administration and information management.
Emergency responders work in environments where accuracy, procedures, accountability and attention to detail are critical. While this role is not operational, many of the skills developed through emergency response work translate extremely well into document control and administration.
About the Role
Location: Bull Creek WA
Hours Between 10:00am and 4:00pm
Duration: 3 months
Approximately $38.87 per hour

Training will be provided on the specific CDMS, with approximately three days of training, preferably next week. The system is built on SharePoint, so existing SharePoint experience would be beneficial.
